Transcriptomic, proteomic and biochemical comparison of luminescent and non‐luminescent Keroplatinae larvae (Diptera: Keroplatidae)

open access: yesInsect Molecular Biology, Volume 35, Issue 1, Page 34-47, February 2026.
Transcriptomic and proteomic comparison of luminescent O. fultoni and non‐luminescent Neoditomyia sp show that the substrate binding fraction (SBF) has a similar abundance of hexamerins and the presence of flavin‐dependent reductases. In addition to the high content of keroplatin, SBF also contains considerable amounts of riboflavin and displays ...

Stability of reverse isoperimetric inequalities in the plane: Area, Cheeger, and inradius

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 58, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract In this paper, we present stability results for various reverse isoperimetric problems in R2$\mathbb {R}^2$. Specifically, we prove the stability of the reverse isoperimetric inequality for λ$\lambda$‐convex bodies — convex bodies with the property that each of their boundary points p$p$ supports a ball of radius 1/λ$1/\lambda$ so that the ...

Whipped and Mixed Warm Clouds in the Deep Sea

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 2, 28 January 2026.
Abstract Turbulence is indispensable to redistribute nutrients for all life forms larger than microbial, on land and in the ocean. Yet, the development of deep‐sea turbulence was not studied in three dimensions to date. As a disproportionate laboratory, an array of nearly 3,000 high‐resolution temperature sensors had been installed for three years on ...

Abstract Boundary Delay Systems and Application to Network Flow

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 49, Issue 1, Page 119-129, 15 January 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the well‐posedness and positivity of solutions to a class of delayed transport equations on a network. The material flow is delayed at the vertices and along the edges. The problem is reformulated as an abstract boundary delay equation, and well‐posedness is proved by using the Staffans–Weiss theory.
