A new family of solutions for graph‐restricted cooperative games: rethinking the weight of intermediary power

open access: yesInternational Transactions in Operational Research, EarlyView.
Abstract In graph‐restricted cooperative games, a group of agents, represented by the nodes of a graph, work together to make a profit. However, two agents can cooperate within a coalition only if they are connected by the graph in the coalition. Several allocation rules have been proposed for these games, but there is something in common in all of ...

Las actividades matemáticas y su valor competencial. Un instrumento para su detección [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
La implementación del currículum por competencias en los centros educativos nos hace plantear cuales son las competencias que se ponen en juego en las actividades matemáticas que encontramos en los libros de texto.

Assessing restoration strategies for the recovery of Colombian Moist Forests: a meta‐analysis

open access: yesRestoration Ecology, EarlyView.
To mitigate the loss of Colombia's Moist Forests—35% of their original extent by 2021—understanding successional dynamics is critical for effective restoration. This study synthesizes data from 34 peer‐reviewed articles to evaluate the efficacy of restoration methods (natural regeneration, native or exotic plantations, nucleation, remediation ...

Coloured shuffle compatibility, Hadamard products, and ask zeta functions

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, EarlyView.
Abstract We devise an explicit method for computing combinatorial formulae for Hadamard products of certain rational generating functions. The latter arise naturally when studying so‐called ask zeta functions of direct sums of modules of matrices or class‐ and orbit‐counting zeta functions of direct products of nilpotent groups.

Étale motives of geometric origin

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, EarlyView.
Abstract Over qcqs finite‐dimensional schemes, we prove that étale motives of geometric origin can be characterised by a constructibility property which is purely categorical, giving a full answer to the question ‘Do all constructible étale motives come from geometry?’ which dates back to Cisinski and Déglise's work.

Hilbert–Kunz multiplicity of powers of ideals in dimension two

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, EarlyView.
Abstract We study the behavior of the Hilbert–Kunz multiplicity of powers of an ideal in a local ring. In dimension 2, we provide answers to some problems raised by Smirnov, and give a criterion to answer one of his questions in terms of a “Ratliff–Rush version” of the Hilbert–Kunz multiplicity.

Faber's socle intersection numbers via Gromov–Witten theory of elliptic curve

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, EarlyView.
Abstract The goal of this very short note is to give a new proof of Faber's formula for the socle intersection numbers in the tautological ring of Mg$\mathcal {M}_g$. This new proof exhibits a new beautiful tautological relation that stems from the recent work of Oberdieck–Pixton on the Gromov–Witten theory of the elliptic curve via a refinement of ...
