Heat and Material Balance of Heliopyrolysis Device

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений и энергетических объединенний СНГ: Энергетика, 2023
The article proposes a technological scheme for the process of obtaining alternative fuels from local biomass by the method of heliopyrolysis. Besides, the temperature regime in the reactor of the pyrolysis device and the thermal energy savings consumed ...

Partial constraint singularities in elastic rods

open access: yes, 2018
We present a unified classical treatment of partially constrained elastic rods. Partial constraints often entail singularities in both shapes and reactions.

In-depth Analysis on Wastewater Discharge of Wet Limestone-Gypsum FGD

open access: yesZhongguo dianli, 2020
The trend of zero wastewater discharge policy is inevitable for coal-fired plants despite the major technical difficulty in the discharge of wet limestone-gypsum FGD wastewater. To obtain reasonable discharge amount of FGD wastewater, the author took the

The influence of the long-lived quantum Hall potential on the characteristics of quantum devices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Novel hysteretic effects are reported in magneto-transport experiments on lateral quantum devices. The effects are characterized by two vastly different relaxation times (minutes and days).

Energy Consumption and Greenhouse Gas Emissions of Nickel Products

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
The primary energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from nickel smelting products have been assessed through case studies using a process model based on mass and energy balance. The required primary energy for producing nickel metal, nickel oxide,

The asymptotic homogenization elasticity tensor properties for composites with material discontinuities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The classical asymptotic homogenization approach for linear elastic composites with discontinuous material properties is considered as a starting point. The sharp length scale separation between the fine periodic structure and the whole material formally

Carcinomas and Carcinoid Tumors of the Lungs and Bronchi in Children and Adolescents: The EXPeRT Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Primary lung carcinomas and bronchial carcinoid tumors (BC) are very rare malignancies in childhood. While typical BC and mucoepidermoid carcinomas are mostly low‐grade, localized tumors with a more favorable prognosis than in adults, necessitating avoidance of overtreatment, adenocarcinomas of the lung are often diagnosed at advanced disease ...

Evaluation of the Utility of Baseline Echocardiogram in Patients With Standard Risk Precursor B‐Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
Abstract Background A routine baseline echocardiogram is often obtained prior to anthracycline administration in children with cancer. The utility of baseline echocardiogram is unclear in patients with standard risk B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (SR B‐ALL) as their anthracycline cumulative dose is low.

Material Balance by Linear Equations [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 1997
Material Balance around process has been conducted by using mixer output equations. A method based on Mason's theory has been proposed to develop mixer output equations.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
