We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Constants of Metal Rubber Material
Damping materials made of pressing wire, such as Metal Rubber (MR material), “metal-flex”, “spring cushion” etc. are used widely in vibration protection systems. They have high strength and damping, however they are non-linear and anisotropic. To use contemporary finite element software for calculation of vibration insulators made of wire damping ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Simulation of metal creep in nonstationary complex stress state
The simulation of the results of metal testing under creep conditions at the nonstationary complex stress state is considered. As an example, we consider the experimental data obtained by a group of Japanese scientists for testing tubular samples of ...

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

42CrMo steel belongs to low-alloy medium carbon steel and also belongs to ultra-high-strength steel. In this study, thermal compression tests (800°C - 1200°C, 0.01s-1 - 10s-1) and subsequent calculations proved that many material constants of 42CrMo ...

Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Giant Dielectric Constant Materials and Their Applications
There is a constant need in the modern electronic industry for capacitors with high capacity per volume in order to use in many applications such as memories devices, energy storage, microwave filters, among others. The synthesis, characterization and study of materials with a very high or giant dielectric constant are in particular important and have ...

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Anisotropic viscoelastic constitutive law assuming plane stress state
The viscoelastic material constitutive law based on the anisotropic generalized Maxwell model, which assumes a three-dimensional (3D) stress state, is reduced to a plane-stress state to efficiently analyze thin plate-like laminated structures.
