Determination of material constants of magnetostrictive materials
A mathematical model of a toroidal inductor with a flat ring core made of a polycrystalline magnetostrictive ferromagnet capable of oscillations was developed, as well as a method of measuring the material constants of a polycrystalline ferromagnetic core based on the resonance frequencies of radial oscillations of a ring placed in a toroidal coil ...

TWO-GROUP CONSTANTS FOR REACTOR MATERIALS [PDF]
In order to facilitate reactor design studies a compilation of calculated two-group constants averaged over the infinite-medium flux produced by a fission source was made for approximately 80 materials of interest to reactor engineers. A comparison with available experimental age measurements is included. (auth)

Enzymes of the 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase group catalyze the condensation of formyl‐CoA with aldehydes or ketones. Thus, by structural adaptation of active sites, practically any pharmaceutically and industrially important 2‐hydroxyacid could be biotechnologically synthesized. Combining crystal structure analysis, active site mutations and kinetic assays,

Elastic properties of TiC and TiN crystals in high temperature range
The elastic properties of crystals at high temperature are of significant interest as they affect the mechanical stability and performance of materials at elevated temperatures. In present study a theory for evaluating the temperature variation of second

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare disorder characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness with potential life‐threatening crises. Timely interventions may be delayed by limited access to care and fragmented documentation. Our objective was to develop predictive algorithms for MG deterioration using multimodal telemedicine data ...

CALCULATION OF ELASTICITY MATERIAL CONSTANTS BY OWN VIBRATION FREQUENCY OF ROUND PLATE
The paper analyses existing methods for determination of elastic material properties and reveals perspectives for usage of resonant methods which make it possible to execute a non-contact and non-destructive control.
