Extrusion of implanted materials

1985
Generally, extrusion is interpreted as a reaction of the body to non- tolerated implants. This applies to many uses of various materials in different surgical fields. Middle ear implants are used for very different purposes (e.g. ossicular replacement prostheses, grommets, sheat- ings, posterior canal wall implants, materials for obliteration).

Composite materials with graphenic materials by extrusion for 3D printing

MRS Advances, 2018
The work shows the preparation and characterization of composite materials using a polymer as a matrix (ABS) and carbon black or a graphenic material (graphene or graphene foam). The materials were individually mixed with the polymer and the process parameters were established in an extruder with capacity for temperature control starting at laboratory ...

Conversion of a 11 MN Extrusion Press for Hydrostatic Extrusion of Superconducting Materials

1990
The purpose of this program was to demonstrate the feasibility of modifying an existing mid-size conventional extrusion press to permit, with a simple tooling change, hydrostatic extrusion of superconducting materials. Hydrostatic extrusion is considered by many the ideal method for low-temperature processing of superconductors in order to (a) maximize
