Abstract During twelve years (1960-71) 31 cases of mongolism were identified among some 25,000 live births to residents of Framingham, Massachusetts. Since Jan. 1, 1967, newborn infants who were suspected of having an anomalous cytogenetic constitution of any kind have been photographed, X-rayed, and karyotyped.
