Impact of Helicopter Vibrations on In-Ear PPG Monitoring for Vital Signs—Mountain Rescue Technology Study (MoReTech)

open access: yesSensors
Pulsoximeters are widely used in the medical care of preclinical patients to evaluate the cardiorespiratory status and monitor basic vital signs, such as pulse rate (PR) and oxygen saturation (SpO2).

Bias‐Engineered Synthetic Antiferromagnets Hosting Sub‐20 nm Zero‐Field Skyrmions at Room Temperature

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A fully compensated synthetic antiferromagnet (SAF) multilayer exhibits a uniform state at zero field, without skyrmions. We use a SAF bias system to provide RKKY‐mediated exchange bias to the SAF multilayer, promoting zero‐field skyrmion stabilization and polarity control.

Lifetime Polarization of Dressed Multiorder Fluorescence and Spontaneous Parametric Four-Wave Mixing in Pr $^{3+}$:YSO

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2015
We investigate lifetime (induced dipole-dipole interaction) of spontaneous parametric four-wave mixing (SP-FWM) and multiorder fluorescence (FL) signals controlled by polarization dressing in a heteronuclear-like molecule system of Pr3+:YSO. The comparisons between a lifetime of SP-FWM and multiorder FL controlled by single dressing, double dressing ...

Beyond d‐Band Catalysis: A Critical Review and Descriptor Framework for Rare‐Earth Engineering in Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Rare‐earth catalysts regulate lithium–sulfur battery chemistry through f‐orbital–mediated interactions, enabling simultaneous polysulfide adsorption and catalytic conversion on conductive carbon hosts. This synergistic control suppresses the shuttle effect, accelerates redox kinetics, and guides stable Li2S nucleation, providing a mechanistic framework

Two-Phase Multi-Point Design Exploration of Submerged Nacelles for Marine Propulsive Pump Installation

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
Outboard Dynamic-inlet Waterjets (ODW) are axisymmetric units, powered by a self-contained pump, that, by processing a uniform undisturbed streamtube, can operate more efficiently than conventional marine propulsors.

Electromagnetic Radiation Stimulated Learning in Perovskite Nickelates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Biological plasticity refers to the ability of synapses to strengthen or weaken over time. These adaptive properties play a fundamental role in learning and memory, spanning many orders of magnitude in timescales. Short‐term plasticity (STP) arises from rapid correlative activity, while long‐term plasticity (LTP) is governed by slower ...

Sliding Ferroelectricity Driven Spin‐Layertronics in Altermagnetic Multilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrating sliding ferroelectricity with altermagnetism enables nonvolatile electrical control of spin and layer degrees of freedom. In bilayer CuF2, interlayer translation reverses layer‐locked spin‐split bands, establishing a multifunctional “spin‐layertronic” platform.

Corrections to “A QoS-Based Cross-Tier Cooperation Resource Allocation Scheme Over Ultra-Dense HetNets”

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In our previous analysis in [1], in order to calculate the number of MUEs, we defined ${S_{Hole}}$ to represent the region occupied by MUEs. Due to an editing error, this formula was expressed as ${S_{Hole}} = {\Pr }\{ {N_{S}} = 0\}$ , where the right-

Deep Learning Network‐Tailored Microenvironment Matching of 4D Bioprinting Bioactive Scaffolds for Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A DLN dataset was built to analyze MABS composition versus in vitro/in vivo osteogenesis and angiogenesis. An MLP neural network, taking BG morphological parameters as input, extracts bioactive features from these datasets. A rabbit tibial defect model then validates 4D‐printed MABS for adaptability and bone regeneration in critical defects.
