Biomimetic Robotics and Intelligence: A Survey

open access: yesSmartBot, EarlyView.
Biomimetic robotics and intelligence, inspired by biological systems, integrate biology, engineering, and AI, develops robots capable of adapting to complex environments. By mimicking natural structures and cognitive processes, and employing algorithms like neural networks and genetic algorithms, these systems enhance autonomy and problem‐solving. This

Interpretable Differential Abundance Signature (iDAS)

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
iDAS is an ANOVA‐based framework that enhances the interpretability of differential abundance signatures in single‐cell and spatial omics data. It provides a coherent and interpretable framework for grouping gene‐level associations in complex experimental designs.

Do business and economics studies erode prosocial values?

open access: yesSouthern Economic Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Does exposure to business and economics education make students less prosocial and more selfish? Employing a difference‐in‐difference strategy with panel‐data from three subsequent cohorts of students enrolled in a Business and Economics bachelor's program (>900 students), we find that business and economics students become less prosocial over

Teaching financial crises: A leverage experiment

open access: yesSouthern Economic Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract College students often struggle to understand the prevalence of asset price bubbles and the difficulty of timing asset purchases and sales. Even economics students are consistently surprised when bubbles burst. These breaks can have real macroeconomic effects, particularly when the price surge is fueled by leverage.
