Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Mathematical modeling and analysis of thermal dynamics in an electrical contact bridge with nonlinear Stefan problem including thermoelectric effect and internal heat source

open access: yesResults in Applied Mathematics
This paper presents a mathematical model and analytical study of the thermal dynamics in an electrical contact bridge under the influence of the Thomson effect and Joule heat generation. The model considers a bridge structure adjacent to a vapor zone, in

Biodegradable and Recyclable Luminescent Mixed‐Matrix‐Membranes, Hydrogels, and Cryogels based on Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks and Biopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

The Role of a Two-Phase Region in Directional Crystallization of Binary Liquids

open access: yesMathematics
Motivated by the widespread occurrence of directional crystallization in nature, laboratory experiments and industrial facilities, we consider how a two-phase (mushy) region filled simultaneously with liquid and solid material influences the process and ...

Reoptimizations in linear programming [PDF]

open access: yes
Replacing a real process which we are concerned in with other more convenient for the study is called modeling. After the replacement, the model is analyzed and the results we get are expanded on that process.

3D‐Printed Sulfur‐Derived Polymers With Controlled Architectures for Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Rheology‐guided formulation design for direct ink writing enables the fabrication of 3D sulfur copolymer cathodes with controlled architectures for lithium‐sulfur batteries. The printed electrodes exhibit multiscale porosity and high sulfur utilization, delivering enhanced electrochemical performance compared to conventional cast electrodes.

Unleashing the Power of Machine Learning in Nanomedicine Formulation Development

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A random forest machine learning model is able to make predictions on nanoparticle attributes of different nanomedicines (i.e. lipid nanoparticles, liposomes, or PLGA nanoparticles) based on microfluidic formulation parameters. Machine learning models are based on a database of nanoparticle formulations, and models are able to generate unique solutions
