Middle-Range Theory of the Adapting Foster Family: Mathematical Modeling in Nursing Science

Nursing Science Quarterly, 2023
Nursing science has the epistemic advantage of using nursing practice for developing middle-range theories to bridge abstract ideas with clinical research. The theory of the adapting foster family draws upon extant theories of both family systems theory and transition theory while integrating experiences from nursing practice.

Mathematical modeling of radar range profiles of aerial objects

Radioelectronics and Communications Systems, 2013
Numerical scattering characteristics calculation methods are suggested for complex-shaped objects that have with surface breaks and are placed in a free space. The asymptotic method is developed for calculating scattering characteristics in both frequency and time domains of perfectly conducting electrically-large objects partially or fully covered by ...

Full-Range Mathematical Modeling of Turboshaft Engine in Aerospace

International Journal of Turbo & Jet-Engines, 2016
AbstractIn this paper, an approximate computation method of low-speed component characteristics in aeroengine is used and full-range component characteristics is obtained by combining experimental data above idle. Moreover, based on components matching method and variable specific heat method, a full-range static and dynamic mathematical model of ...

Nonlinear mathematical modeling of aircraft wing flutter in transonic range

2003 IEEE International Workshop on Workload Characterization (IEEE Cat. No.03EX775), 2004
Two-degrees-of-freedom, finite dimensional, nonlinear mathematical model, which models the nonlinear features of aircraft wing flutter in transonic speed is discussed. The model enables to explain every feature of the transonic flutter data of the wind tunnel tests conducted at National Aerospace Laboratory in Japan for a high aspect ratio wing.

Mathematical model of magnesium ignition in an extended range of parameters

Combustion, Explosion, and Shock Waves, 2008
A mathematical model of ignition of a magnesium particle with allowance for a heterogeneous chemical reaction is proposed. The model allows the final particle temperature after its ignition to be found and takes into account the region of the thermal influence of the particle on the gas.

ON THE MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF SOLITON-MEDIATED LONG-RANGE ELECTRON TRANSFER

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2010
We discuss here possible models for long-range electron transfer (ET) between a donor (D) and an acceptor (A) along an anharmonic (Morse–Toda) one-dimensional (1d)-lattice. First, it is shown that the electron may form bound states (solectrons) with externally, mechanically excited solitons in the lattice thus leading to one form of soliton-mediated ...
