Multiscale Modeling and Simulation of Organic Solar Cells [PDF]
In this article, we continue our mathematical study of organic solar cells (OSCs) and propose a two-scale (micro- and macro-scale) model of heterojunction OSCs with interface geometries characterized by an arbitrarily complex morphology.

The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

The detailed characterization of Martian impact craters from the 1/16 degree MOLA global topography grid [PDF]
We describe a new project to obtain a global characterisation of Martian impact crater morphology from the 1/16 degree MOLA topography dataset.

Accuracy of generic mesh conformation: the future of facial morphological analysis [PDF]
Three-dimensional (3D) analysis of the face is required for the assessment of changes following surgery, to monitor the progress of pathological conditions and for the evaluation of facial growth.

Comparative image filter-ing using monotonic morphological operators [PDF]
In a previous work, we proposed a Comparative Morphology (CM) construction scheme that generalized Pytyev's Morphological Image Analysis approach onto a wider range of practical image comparison applications.

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

Quantale Modules and their Operators, with Applications
The central topic of this work is the categories of modules over unital quantales. The main categorical properties are established and a special class of operators, called Q-module transforms, is defined.

A reconfigurable real-time morphological system for augmented vision [PDF]
There is a significant number of visually impaired individuals who suffer sensitivity loss to high spatial frequencies, for whom current optical devices are limited in degree of visual aid and practical application.
