Mathematical modelling of far-infrared vacuum drying processes [PDF]
In this paper, a mathematical model of far-infrared vacuum drying of shrinkage body is presented. The system of two coupled partial differential equations for heat and mass transfer with appropriate initial and boundary conditions are solved numerically ...

We study an iterative differential-difference method for solving nonlinear least squares problems, which uses, instead of the Jacobian, the sum of derivative of differentiable parts of operator and divided difference of nondifferentiable parts. Moreover,

An Inkjet‐Printed Platinum‐Based Temperature Sensing Element on Polyimide Substrates
An inkjet‐printed, meander‐structured, nanoparticle platinum‐based resistive temperature sensors on polyimide substrates are demonstrated as proof‐of‐concept. Optimized sintering at 250°C enables stable conductive structures. The Pt100‐ and Pt1000‐type sensors exhibit linear resistance–temperature characteristics with stable TCR in the 20°C–80°C range,

Two mathematical tools to analyze metastable stochastic processes
We present how entropy estimates and logarithmic Sobolev inequalities on the one hand, and the notion of quasi-stationary distribution on the other hand, are useful tools to analyze metastable overdamped Langevin dynamics, in particular to quantify the ...
