Some Mathematical Properties of Morphoelasticity
2020We consider a morphoelastic framework that models permanent deformations. The text treats a stability assessment in one dimension and a preservation of symmetry in multiple dimensions. Next, we treat the influence of uncertainty in some of the field variables onto the predicted behaviour of tissue.

Some mathematical properties of simulation models
ACM SIGSIM Simulation Digest, 1977A mathematical style of description of simulation models is introduced by using the formalism of system theory. Discrete event simulation models which use pseudorandom number generators are regarded as abstract objects described by a family of input-output time-functions and are proved to hold the property of aggregates.

Some Mathematics behind Graph Property Testing
2008Graph property testing is the third reincarnation of the same general question, after statistics and learning theory. In its simplest form, we have a huge graph (we don't even know its size), and we draw a sample of the node set of bounded size. What properties of the graph can be deduced from this sample?

A Delamination Model. Mathematical Properties
1999In this paper some mathematical properties of a delamination model are studied. The laminate is schematized as two plates connected by a very special interface material. An interface constitutive model, based on the adhesion theory is introduced. The proposed model is governed by a functional which is neither smooth nor convex.

Wavelets and their Mathematical Properties
2004In this chapter we concentrate on the mathematical properties of wavelets, but still with more weight on an intuitive understanding than on technical details.

Mathematical investigations in network properties
2005 IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Engineering Systems, 2005. INES '05., 2005We studytheattribute-distance innetworks, defined as theaverage distance between an attribute- possessed andan ordinary node.Inthecentreofour investigations there arethree closely connected properties of thenetworks: Efficiency, stablity andsafety (error andattack tolerance). Continuity properties in constructive mathematics
Journal of Symbolic Logic, 1992AbstractThe purpose of this paper is an axiomatic study of the interrelations between certain continuity properties. We deal with principles which are equivalent to the statements “every mapping is sequentially nondiscontinuous”, “every sequentially nondiscontinuous mapping is sequentially continuous”, and “every sequentially continuous mapping is ...

Mathematical Properties of Lorentz Transformations
2014In Chap. 5, the Interval between two events is defined. It is shown that interval between two events is invariant under the Lorentz transformation. It is also shown that the Lorentz transformation may be regarded as a rotation of axes through an imaginary angle as well as it can be expressed in a hyperbolic form.
