Discrete Euclidian Spaces: a starting point toward the discretization of mathematics [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
Discrete Euclidian Spaces (DESs) are the beginning of a journey without return towards the discretization of mathematics. Important mathematical concepts- such as the idea of number or the systems of numeration, whose formal definition is currently independent of Euclidean spaces -have in the Isodimensional Discrete Mathematics (IDM) their roots in the

Mathematical strategies for filtering turbulent dynamical systems

open access: yesDiscrete & Continuous Dynamical Systems - A, 2010
The modus operandi of modern applied mathematics in developing very recent mathematical strategies for filtering turbulent dynamical systems is emphasized here. The approach involves the synergy of rigorous mathematical guidelines, exactly solvable nonlinear models with physical insight, and novel cheap algorithms with judicious model errors to ...

1D Light‐Emitting MAPbBr3 Perovskite Encapsulated in Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Encapsulation of MAPbBr3 perovskite in single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) yields a hybrid nanomaterial with distinctive optoelectronic properties. Perovskite confinement induces a unified single‐peak photoluminescence (PL) with a reduced lifetime, while charge transfer alters the optical properties of nanotubes.

Enhancing CoFe Catalysts with V2CTX MXene‐Derived Materials for Anion Exchange Membrane Electrolyzers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MXene dervied CoFe composites show increased initial Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) activity compared to the pure CoFe and MXene in an Anion Exchange Membrane device. Vanadium vacancies in the MXene plays a role in increased OER activity and hinders Fe leaching in the AEM device over using the pure V2C MXene as a support material for the CoFe ...

Topological indices in condensed matter [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This contribution describes the mathematical theory of topological indices in solid state systems composed of non-interacting Fermions. In particular, this covers the spectral localizer and the bulk-boundary correspondence.

Pentagonal 2D Altermagnets: Material Screening and Altermagnetic Tunneling Junction Device Application

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
From a database of 170 pentagonal 2D materials, 4 candidates exhibiting altermagnetic ordering are screened. Furthermore, the spin‐splitting and unconventional boundary states in the pentagonal 2D altermagnetic monolayer MnS2 are investigated. A MnS2‐based altermagnetic tunneling junction is designed and, through ab initio quantum transport simulations,
