Ultrafast Dynamics of Complete Sb2S3 Solar Cells Unveiled via a Bifacial Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Highly transparent, bifacial solar cells using a ZnO layer and indium tin oxide (ITO) are developed, enabling transient absorption spectroscopy (TAS) measurements. These bifacial cells show photovoltaic performance comparable to traditional cells. By integrating TAS and optical modeling, new insights into charge transfer mechanisms in Sb2S3‐based solar

Reduction of Micro‐Motion at the Tapered Connection of Hip Endoprostheses with an Adapted Deep Rolling Process of CoCrMo Inner Tapers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The ball burnishing processes demonstrated a notable reduction of surface roughness, which in turn helps to reduce the formation of wear particles and is reflected in the significantly reduced wear rate. The torsional resistance in the range of micro‐motion (≈2 Nm) can be improved by implementing a ball burnishing process with augmented depth hardness.

Ni‐Assisted Endotaxial Growth of Au Nanoparticles Within TiO2 Nanowires

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A new synthesis route for embedding Au nanoparticles within TiO2 single‐crystal nanowires during vapor‐phase growth at 1000 °C is reported. Beyond seed composition and oscillating morphology, crystallography and resulting Au‐TiO2 interfaces are identified as a key factor governing the embedding process. This can unlock new possibilities for engineering

Interfacial Chemistry Control of In Situ Grown Gold Nanoparticles on Functionalized MXene Nanosheets

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Gold nucleation on MXene is governed by interfacial oxidation, not termination density. An interface‐resolved pathway is uncovered in which Au nucleates at TiO2/TiOx, guided by local reduction at the surface; where tailored functionalization directs when and where nuclei form, enabling the formation of predictable heterostructures.
