Weyl's Law: Spectral Properties of the Laplacian in Mathematics and Physics

open access: yes, 2009
Weyl’s law is in its simplest version a statement on the asymptotic growth of the eigenvalues of the Laplacian on bounded domains with Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions.

Interaction of Oligonucleotides with Gold Nanoparticles: Factors Beyond Electrostatic and Van‐Der Waals Forces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The formation of stable clusters of gold nanoparticles with oligonucleotides at different solution conditions is explored. DNA base homogeneity and strand directionality influence the binding with gold nanoparticles leading to interesting clustering behavior that can be relevant for SERS applications.

Multi‐Scale Modeling of a 3D Soft Magnetoelectric Patch for Wireless Nerve Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Core‐shell, magnetoelectric nanoparticles (MENPs) can serve as wireless electric nano‐sources, thanks to their ability to generate high levels of electricity, when stimulated by a human‐safe external magnetic field. By combining MENPs with soft, biocompatible polymeric matrices and optimizing its composite configuration and electrical behavior via ...

Ward-like Operator in the comma theory [PDF]

open access: yesIJRDO-Journal of Mathematics, Vol. 5, Issue 8, 08/2019, 2019
The construction of the Ward-like operator of the interacting string field theory presented by Witten, in terms of the half-string (comma) oscillator modes, is completed.

Ag‐Cu Nanoarchitecture for Enhanced LSPR Absorption: the Role of Surface Roughness and near‐field Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study investigates the plasmonic properties and biosensing capabilities of a nanocomposite incorporating Cu and Ag nanoparticles for detecting anti‐DbpA antibodies associated with Lyme disease. The enhanced LSPR response is explained through FDTD simulations of Cu–Ag near‐field interactions and increased surface roughness.
