Spectral Theory for a Mathematical Model of the Weak Interaction—Part I: The Decay of the Intermediate Vector Bosons W± [PDF]
We consider a Hamiltonian with cutoffs describing the weak decay of spin 1 massive bosons into the full family of leptons. The Hamiltonian is a self‐adjoint operator in an appropriate Fock space with a unique ground state. We prove a Mourre estimate and a limiting absorption principle above the ground state energy and below the first threshold for a ...

Slight Truncation Changes in Iron Oxide Nanocubes Strongly Affect Their Magnetic Properties
Subtle variations in nanoparticle morphology can lead to significant changes in functional properties. An automated shape‐fitting method captures minor differences in corner truncation between iron oxide nanocubes of similar sizes synthesized under identical conditions, revealing pronounced disparities in their magnetic and hyperthermia behavior ...

Fractal Complex Dimensions, Riemann Hypothesis and Invertibility of the Spectral Operator [PDF]
A spectral reformulation of the Riemann hypothesis was obtained in [LaMa2] by the second author and H. Maier in terms of an inverse spectral problem for fractal strings.

In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

New Results in Heat-Kernel Asymptotics on Manifolds with Boundary [PDF]
A review is presented of some recent progress in spectral geometry on manifolds with boundary: local boundary-value problems where the boundary operator includes the effect of tangential derivatives; application of conformal variations and other ...

Non-commutative fermion mass matrix and gravity
The first part is an introductory description of a small cross-section of the literature on algebraic methods in non-perturbative quantum gravity with a specific focus on viewing algebra as a laboratory in which to deepen understanding of the nature of ...

Nanothermometry in Living Cells: Physical Limits, Conceptual and Material Challenges
Heat and temperature are fundamental to life. When nanothermometers began probing regions as small as a living cell, they triggered controversial claims of large intracellular temperature gradients. We review physical constraints energy‐conservation, entropy production, thermodynamic fluctuations, and molecular dynamics.

Bioprosthetic aortic valves have revolutionized the treatment of aortic stenosis, but their durability is limited by structural valve deterioration (SVD). This review focuses on the pericardial tissue at the heart of these valves, examining how its mechanical properties and calcification drive fatigue and failure.

Molten KNO2 treatment induces a lowrefractive index disordered carbon shell on fluorescent nanodiamonds, enhancing fluorescence emission while preserving spin coherence. Machine learningassisted correlative TEMPL enables direct single‐particle resolution of this enhancement relative to air‐oxidized nanodiamonds of similar morphology, establishing a ...

Applications of Fourier Analysis to Audio Signal Processing: An Investigation of Chord Detection Algorithms [PDF]
The discrete Fourier transform has become an essential tool in the analysis of digital signals. Applications have become widespread since the discovery of the Fast Fourier Transform and the rise of personal computers.
