Nizami Ganjavi is considered a pioneer of the hamsa writing tradition in Persian literature. The works that constitute the hamse titled "Penc Genc" by the poet gained significant attention beyond the geographical region they were written in, prompting numerous nazires to be composed for the mathnavis that form this hamsa.
