Small is the New Large: Demonstration of how Microanalyses Elucidate Large‐Scale CO2 Uptake Through Mineralization

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, Volume 10, Issue 2, February 2026.
Imaging techniques like X‐ray microcomputed tomography and electron microscopy are integrated to understand the CO2 mineralization process at the pore‐scale. These techniques are used to characterise the reaction progression in basalt. They increase the reliability of reactive transport modeling and consequently improve the CO2 storage capacity ...

Simulation of the Forging Process of a Bearing Ring Using MATLAB Software

open access: yesThe Annals of “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati. Fascicle IX, Metallurgy and Materials Science
In the current work, entitled "Simulation of the forging process of a bearing ring using MATLAB", we created a graphical interface (GUI) using MATLAB software, based on the mathematical relationships specific to the forging process of metallic materials.

Bidirectional crusher gradient method to estimate the labeling efficiency of pseudo‐continuous arterial spin labeling MRI in mice

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 2, Page 912-926, February 2026.
Abstract Purpose To develop an experimental method for measuring the labeling efficiency of pseudo‐continuous arterial spin labeling (pCASL) MRI in mice. Methods We propose a method using bidirectional crusher gradients to modulate vascular signals in the azygos pericallosal artery (azPA) of the mouse brain, applied with and without pCASL labeling. The

Large-scale computation of pseudospectra using ARPACK and eigs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
ARPACK and its MATLAB counterpart, eigs, are software packages that calculate some eigenvalues of a large non-symmetric matrix by Arnoldi iteration with implicit restarts. We show that at a small additional cost, which diminishes relatively as the matrix

High‐Throughput Screen of NPQ in Sorghum Shows Highly Polygenic Architecture of Photoprotection

open access: yesPlant-Environment Interactions, Volume 7, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Natural genetic variation in photosynthesis and photoprotection within crop germplasm represents an untapped resource for crop improvement. Sorghum bicolor (sorghum) is one of the world's most widely grown crops, yet the genetic basis of photoprotection in sorghum is not well understood.

Elucidating the Synergistic Role of In Situ SiOX Shell and rGO Network in Stabilizing Si Anodes via Distribution of Relaxation Times Analysis

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
This work investigates the synergistic roles of in situ formed SiOx shells and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) networks in stabilizing silicon anodes. By combining electrochemical impedance spectroscopy with distribution of relaxation times analysis, interfacial processes during lithiation are decoupled and analyzed.
