Diazotizable supports of potential interest as affinity chromatography matrices

Journal of Molecular Recognition, 1996
Immobilization of affinity ligands, proteins, enzymes and other functional groups by azo coupling is based on the high reactivity of the support-carrying diazonium groups towards both low- and high-molecular weight compounds containing certain groupings such as phenols, imidazole and some other heterocycles, thiols and amines.

Transfer matrices for one-dimensional potentials

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1983
The one-dimensional Schrödinger equation can be written as a first-order multicomponent equation by considering ψ and dψ/dx, or combinations thereof, as independent variables. A potential barrier is then represented by a matrix belonging to one of the homomorphic groups SU(1,1), SO(2,1), Sp(2,R), or SL(2,R).

Potential application of SERS for arsenic speciation in biological matrices

Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2017
Speciation of arsenic is usually carried out using chromatography-based methods coupled with spectroscopic determination; however, the inevitable procedures involving sample preparation and separation could potentially alter the integrity of the arsenic metabolites present in biological samples.

Exact exchange-correlation potential and approximate exchange potential in terms of density matrices

Physical Review A, 1995
An exact expression in terms of density matrices (DM) is derived for \ensuremath{\delta}F[n]/\ensuremath{\delta}n(r), the functional derivative of the Hohenberg-Kohn functional. The derivation starts from the differential form of the virial theorem, obtained here for an electron system with arbitrary interactions, and leads to an expression taking the ...

Titanate matrices as potential corrosion inhibitor nanocontainers

Corrosion Science, 2014
Layered titanates as inhibitor nanocontainers were studied in this paper. Pyridine as a typical inhibitor was introduced into the titanate matrices and its extraction from the matrices was studied. The results show that the increase of pH of media favors the extraction of pyridine from the matrices.
