Robust Soil Water Potential Sensor to Optimize Irrigation in Agriculture
Extreme weather phenomena are on the rise due to ongoing climate change. Therefore, the need for irrigation in agriculture will increase, although it is already the largest consumer of water, a valuable resource.

Matric Potential of Several Plant Tissues and Biocolloids [PDF]
The pressure membrane apparatus was used to study the matric potential (imbibition pressure or moisture tension) of plant tissues and of several organic colloidal preparations. The moisture release curves of aqueous 2% agar, 12% gelatin, and filter paper were smooth parabolic curves between matric potentials of -0.1 and -15 bars.

Antimicrobial potential of resin matrices loaded with coffee compounds
AbstractThis study evaluated the biological behavior of the coffee compounds Trigonelline (T), chlorogenic acid (C), and nicotinic acid (N), correlating with their release from a resin matrix. Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) was evaluated against Streptococcus mutans UA159, and cytotoxicity was assessed by methyl tetrazolium salt on OD‐21 cells.

Quantification of the least limiting water range in an oxisol using two methodological strategies [PDF]
The least limiting water range (LLWR) has been used as an indicator of soil physical quality as it represents, in a single parameter, the soil physical properties directly linked to plant growth, with the exception of temperature. The usual procedure for

Evaluation Model of Soil Water Characteristic Curve of Red Clay Based on Dielectric Theory [PDF]
[Objective] The soil water characteristic curve (SWCC) can effectively reflect the relationship between soil water suction (matric potential) and water content, yet conventional testing methods pose challenges for the calibration of in situ soil ...
