Physiological postharvest responses of Matricaria (Matricaria recutita L.) flowers
Postharvest Biology and Technology, 2001Abstract Mechanically gathered fresh Matricaria ( Matricaria recutita L.) flowers had a very high respiration rate (average from six trials at 10°C: 999±134 W t −1 , at 20°C: 2438±289 W t −1 , and at 30°C: 4552±570 W t −1 ). These levels, comparatively high for medical or vegetable plants, were maintained throughout an 80-h postharvest period.

Wild chamomile (Matricaria recutita L.) mouthwashes in methotrexate-induced oral mucositis
Phytomedicine, 2005Oral mucositis is a known complication of methotrexate (MTX) therapy, but a single efficacious intervention or agent for prophylaxis or management of this side effect has not yet been identified. We report a case of MTX-induced oral mucositis in a patient with rheumatoid arthritis, who was successfully treated with Wild chamomile mouthwashes.

Molecular cloning and characterization of squalene synthase from Matricaria recutita L.
Acta Physiologiae Plantarum, 2018Matricaria recutita L. has been known as an important medicinal plant for centuries. The main active components are sesquiterpenes. Squalene synthase (SQS) is an enzyme that plays an important role in regulation of isoprenoid biosynthesis. In this study, the full-length cDNA of the M. recutita SQS gene was cloned and analyzed for the first time.
