Poultry meat is consumed worldwide and is prone to food fraud because of large price differences among meat from different poultry species. Precise and sensitive analytical methods are necessary to control poultry meat products. We chose species–specific

EFFICIENT SCHEDULING OF DYNAMIC PROGRAMMING ALGORITHMS ON MULTICORE ARCHITECTURES [PDF]
Dynamic programming is one of the Berkley 13 dwarfs widely used for solving various combinatorial and optimization problems, including matrix chain multiplication, longest common subsequence, binary (0/1) knapsack and so on.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

A joint–joint matrix representation of planar kinematic chains with multiple joints and isomorphism identification [PDF]
The synthesis of the kinematic chain needs to obtain the information of the kinematic chain accurately and comprehensively. Isomorphism identification is an essential step in kinematic chain synthesis. In this article, a novel isomorphism determination method of planar kinematic chains with multiple joints based on joint–joint matrix description was ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Quantum superposition and general and special merge: Remarks on matrix multiplication, tensorization and language evolution [PDF]
Introduction Syntax has long been believed to be the heartbeat of Homo Sapiens. Some (Berwick and Chomsky, 2015) even claim that syntax, and in particular Merge, is the prerequisite of becoming human, differentiating us from the upright man, Homo Erectus,

Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

KHS‐Cnd peptide is able to impair biofilm formation and disaggregate mature biofilms in Acinetobacter baumannii clinical isolates. Differences in extracellular metabolites reflect changes in biofilm metabolism due to KHS‐Cnd treatment. Among the differentially represented extracellular metabolites upon KHS‐Cnd treatment, the significantly altered ...
