Single-phase matrix converter

IEE Proceedings - Electric Power Applications, 1997
A topology of a single-phase AC/AC direct power converter is presented. The circuit, composed from four ideal power switches, is used as a frequency step-up converter. The equations of the proposed converter are developed, its switching angle pattern is calculated and the dynamic behaviour of the system is simulated.
