Electrodialytic Ion Isolation for Matrix Removal
Analytical Chemistry, 2012We report a fully automated online sample pretreatment system for ionic analytes that extracts the ionic analytes from the sample and largely removes the nonionic sample matrix and can preconcentrate the analyte. Sample pretreatment is a key analytical process; conventional pretreatment is conducted in a difficult to automate batchwise manner.

Dehydrophenylnitrenes: Matrix Isolation and Photochemical Rearrangements
The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2007The photochemistry of 3-iodo-2,4,5,6-tetrafluorophenyl azide 8 and 3,5-diiodo-2,4,6-trifluorophenyl azide 9 was studied by IR and EPR spectroscopy in cryogenic argon and neon matrices. Both compounds form the corresponding nitrenes as primary photoproducts in photostationary equilibria with their azirine and ketenimine isomers.

Health matrix—toxic waste isolation
American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal, 1982United States Industry is undertaking projects which require the cleanup or physical isolation of toxic materials. Chlorinated hydrocarbons are one of the most persistent chemicals which must be segregated from the environment. This paper describes the matrix implemented to protect the community and workers during decontamination activities of chemical

Pair Association in Matrix Isolated Pyridine
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1970Absorption spectra of pyridine-H5 in frozen nitrogen exhibit concentration dependent sidebands due to pairwise interactions in the Λ10 region at 606 and 607.5 cm−1, in the Λ26 region at 706 and 709 cm−1, and in the Λ14 region at 1442 and 1443 cm−1. For pyridine-D5 pair absorption bands were observed at 584.5, 586(Λ10), 533, 535(Λ26).

Matrix-Isolated Silane. Infrared Spectra
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1971The infrared spectra of silane and its deuterated species isolated in solid neon, argon, krypton, xenon, nitrogen, carbon monoxide, and methane have been obtained. In addition, argon—krypton mixed-matrix studies and oxygen-doping experiments have been done. It is shown that silane occupies at least two types of defect sites.

Matrix Isolation of Perfluorinated p-Benzyne
Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2001As the first isolated derivative of 1,4-didehydrobenzene, 1,4-didehydro-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzene (1) was generated from 1,4-diiodotetrafluorobenzene (2) by photolysis at 254 nm in a neon matrix at 3 K. The 4-iodo-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenyl radical 3 is formed as an intermediate in this reaction.

Abstract Matrix isolation is a technique for trapping reactive species at very low temperatures and studying them spectroscopically. This book offers detailed practical advice on how to carry out matrix-isolation experiments, and is a unique introduction to the subject. Chapter 1 introduces a brief historical survey of the development of

Isolation and Characteristics of Matrix Vesicles
2013Mineralizing matrix vesicles (MVs) are extracellular organelles produced by chondrocytes, osteoblasts, and odontoblasts under physiological conditions and by vascular smooth muscle cells under pathological conditions. MVs are involved in the early stage of mineralization allowing calcium and phosphate to accumulate, and therefore providing an optimal ...

Matrix isolated metal carbonyl anions
Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1972Abstract Cocondensation at 20K of sodium atoms with transition metal carbonyls ( e.g. Cr(CO) 6 ) diluted in argon gives IR spectroscopic evidence for carbonyl anions ( e.g. Cr(CO) 5 − ).
