Matrix Representations of Inverse Semigroups [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Australian Mathematical Society, 1969
In his paper [1], W. D. Munn determines the irreducible matrix representations of an arbitrary inverse semigroup. Munn also gives a necessary and sufficient condition upon a 0-simple inverse semigroup for it to have a non-trivial matirx representation and for such semigroups gives a complete account of their representations.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

A homomorphic representation of simple matrix languages

open access: yes, 1977
In this paper we given a homomorphic representation of simple matrix languages similar in form to those of context-free languages, namely: Any simple matrix language L can be written as the homomorphic image of the intersection of the Dyck context-free ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Vector matrix representation of octonions and their geometry

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper we investigate octonions and their special vector matrix representation. We give some geometrical deÖnitions and properties related with them.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Generalized LFT-Based Representation of Parametric Uncertain Models

open access: yes, 2003
In this paper we introduce a general descriptor-type LFT representation of rational parametric matrices. This generalized representation allows to represent arbitrary rationally dependent multivariate functions in LFT-form.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Group representation matrix and scattering from nuclei [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
It is shown that the transition matrix for elastic and inelastic medium energy protons scattered from nuclei described by the interacting boson model is the SU/sub 6/ group representation matrix.
