The Properties of Binomial Transforms for Modified (s,t)-Pell Matrix Sequence

open access: yesCommunications in Advanced Mathematical Sciences
In this study, we investigate a generalization of the modified Pell sequence, which is called $(s,t)$-modified Pell sequence. By considering this sequence, we define the matrix sequence whose elements are $(s,t)$-modified Pell numbers.

Average characteristic polynomials in the two-matrix model

open access: yes, 2010
The two-matrix model is defined on pairs of Hermitian matrices $(M_1,M_2)$ of size $n\times n$ by the probability measure $$\frac{1}{Z_n} \exp\left(\textrm{Tr} (-V(M_1)-W(M_2)+\tau M_1M_2)\right)\ dM_1\ dM_2, $$ where $V$ and $W$ are given potential ...

Vector bundles and torsion free sheaves on degenerations of elliptic curves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper we give a survey about the classification of vector bundles and torsion free sheaves on degenerations of elliptic curves. Coherent sheaves on singular curves of arithmetic genus one can be studied using the technique of matrix problems or ...

Solving Fuzzy Volterra Integrodifferential Equations of Fractional Order by Bernoulli Wavelet Method

open access: yesAdvances in Fuzzy Systems, 2018
A matrix method called the Bernoulli wavelet method is presented for numerically solving the fuzzy fractional integrodifferential equations. Using the collocation points, this method transforms the fuzzy fractional integrodifferential equation to a ...

Perturbation Theory for Parent Hamiltonians of Matrix Product States

open access: yes, 2015
This article investigates the stability of the ground state subspace of a canonical parent Hamiltonian of a Matrix product state against local perturbations.

A Note on the vec Operator Applied to Unbalanced Block-Structured Matrices

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2016
The vec operator transforms a matrix to a column vector by stacking each column on top of the next. It is useful to write the vec of a block-structured matrix in terms of the vec operator applied to each of its component blocks.

On the finite Fourier transforms of functions with infinite discontinuities

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2002
The introductory part of the paper is provided to give a brief review of the stability theory of a matrix pencil for discrete linear time-invariant singular control systems, based on the causal relationship between Jordan's theorem from the theory of ...

Mathematical transforms and image compression: A review [PDF]

open access: yesMaejo International Journal of Science and Technology, 2010
It is well known that images, often used in a variety of computer and other scientific and engineering applications, are difficult to store and transmit due to their sizes.
