Two variable deformations of the Chebyshev measure

open access: yes, 2006
We construct one and two parameter deformations of the two dimensional Chebyshev polynomials with simple recurrence coefficients, following the algorithm in [3].

Darboux equivalence for matrix-valued orthogonal polynomials

open access: yes
In this work, we give some criteria that allow us to decide when two sequences of matrix-valued orthogonal polynomials are related via a Darboux transformation and to build explicitly such transformation. In particular, they allow us to see when and how any given sequence of polynomials is Darboux related to a diagonal matrix of classic orthogonal ...

RAMS: Residual‐Based Adversarial‐Gradient Moving Sample Method for Scientific Machine Learning in Solving Partial Differential Equations

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
We propose a residual‐based adversarial‐gradient moving sample (RAMS) method for scientific machine learning that treats samples as trainable variables and updates them to maximize the physics residual, thereby effectively concentrating samples in inadequately learned regions.

SiOx‐Based Probabilistic Bits Enabling Invertible Logic Gate for Cryptographic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
To enable lightweight hardware encryption and decryption, a Ti/SiOx/Ti threshold switching device is engineered to generate controllable stochastic oscillations. By tuning the input voltage, the device produces a programmable spike probability governed by intrinsic switching dynamics, enabling probabilistic bits that construct an invertible ...

Non-intersecting squared Bessel paths and multiple orthogonal polynomials for modified Bessel weights

open access: yes, 2007
We study a model of $n$ non-intersecting squared Bessel processes in the confluent case: all paths start at time $t = 0$ at the same positive value $x = a$, remain positive, and are conditioned to end at time $t = T$ at $x = 0$.

Computation of matrix-valued formally orthogonal polynomials and applications

open access: yesJournal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, 2001
This paper concerns an algorithm for generating vector-valued right and left formally orthogonal polynomials associated with a bilinear Hankel form with rectangular matrix-valued moments of any size. Linearly or almost linearly dependent columns and rows of the block Hankel matrix associated with that form are handled by a built-in deflation procedure ...

Generalized Task‐Driven Design of Soft Robots via Reduced‐Order Finite Element Method‐Based Surrogate Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A unified, reusable modeling pipeline enables task‐driven design of soft robots across actuator families and task scenarios. High‐fidelity simulations are compressed into compact pseudo‐rigid‐body joint surrogates, while a design‐conditioned meta‐model generates new surrogates from geometry parameters without rerunning finite element method.

An note on the maximization of matrix valued Hankel determinants with application [PDF]

open access: yes
In this note we consider the problem of maximizing the determinant of moment matrices of matrix measures. The maximizing matrix measure can be characterized explicitly by having equal (matrix valued) weights at the zeros of classical (one dimensional ...
