Solvent‐Controlled, Catalyst‐Free Aerobic Photooxidation of Thioethers to Sulfoxides at 370 nm
ChemistrySelect, Volume 10, Issue 40, October 27, 2025.Solvent‐controlled; catalyst‐free aerobic photooxidation converts thioethers (sulfides) to sulfoxides using ultraviolet (UV) light from a 370 nm light‐emitting diode (LED) under O2. Protic solvents—2,2,2‐trifluoroethanol (TFE) and ethanol—give up to 100% selectivity and easy isolation. Mechanistic probes support a singlet‐oxygen (1O2) pathway.

Advanced Physics Research, Volume 4, Issue 9, September 2025.A novel Photonic Crystal Fiber sensor with an octagonal cladding and hollow core is developed to detect kerosene adulteration. At 2.2 THz, the sensor achieves 96.80% relative sensitivity, an effective mode loss of 0.00667 cm⁻¹, and minimal confinement loss (6.78 × 10⁻8 dB m−1).

First-principles prediction of phonon-mediated superconductivity in XBC (X= Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba)
, 2018 From first-principles calculations, we predict four new intercalated hexagonal $X$BC ($X$=Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba) compounds to be dynamically stable and phonon-mediated superconductors. These compounds form a LiBC like structure but are metallic.
