The Impact of Climate Change on the Spatial Distribution of Seven Meconopsis Species in China: A MaxEnt Model‐Based Predictive Analysis

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
We addressed this gap by evaluating the current and future distribution of eight Meconopsis species using optimized MaxEnt modeling and the WorldClim 2.1 bioclimatic datasets. Our research provides critical insights into the divergent fates of these species under future climate scenarios.

Machine Learning and Geospatial Modeling of Climate Change Impacts on Ethiopian Honeybees for Conservation and Resilient Agriculture

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
The current study used machine learning and geospatial analysis to predict how climate change will loosen and fragment suitable habitats for Ethiopian honeybees. Main factors like agro‐ecological zones and dry‐season precipitation were found to be critical for bee survival.

Phylogenetic and Environmental Insights Into the Biogeography of the Western Blacknose Dace, Rhinichthys obtusus

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
Pleistocene glaciations have shaped freshwater fish evolution and distribution patterns across North America. This study investigated the phylogeographical history of the Western Blacknose Dace (Rhinichthys obtusus) using mitochondrial genomic data, revealing three major clades that diverged 2–1.5 million years ago during Pleistocene glaciations when ...

Jointly Modeling Aspects and Opinions with a MaxEnt-LDA Hybrid.

open access: yes, 2010
Discovering and summarizing opinions from online reviews is an important and challenging task. A commonly-adopted framework generates structured review summaries with aspects and opinions. Recently topic models have been used to identify meaningful review aspects, but existing topic models do not identify aspect-specific opinion words.

Predict Suitable Restoration Areas for Typical Vegetation Restoration Species on the Qinghai‐Tibetan Plateau Based on MaxEnt

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
It was first used in the QTP vegetation restoration species, mainly to provide a basis for species selection in different regions of the QTP now and in the future. Secondly, it calculates the ecological niche overlap and niche breadth to avoid the risk of interspecies competition, providing a basis for the combination of species.
