Transmigration of permanent maxillary central incisor

open access: yes, 2023
The aim of this paper is to report the rarest and first report on the unusual dental variation which is ever documented in the dental literature. An intra-osseous, transmigration of the permanent maxillary central incisor crossing the mid-palatal suture in a normal 11 year old Indian male patient is shown in this article.

Update on the multimodal pathophysiological dataset of gradual cerebral ischemia in a cohort of juvenile pigs: auditory, sensory and high-frequency sensory evoked potentials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
We expand from a spontaneous to an evoked potentials (EP) data set of brain electrical activities as electrocorticogram (ECoG) and electrothalamogram (EThG) in juvenile pig under various sedation, ischemia and recovery states. This EP data set includes three stimulation paradigms: auditory (AEP, 40 and 2000 Hz), sensory (SEP, left and right maxillary ...

Dilaceration of maxillary central incisor: a literature review [PDF]

open access: yesDental Traumatology, 2010
Abstract –  The main purpose of this review is to present the aetiological factors and the mechanism that cause dilaceration of the maxillary central incisors. In early developmental stages, the permanent tooth germ of the maxillary incisor is situated palatally and superiorly to the apex of the primary incisor and gradually changes direction in a ...

An evaluation of mesiodentes: A retrospective study with cone-beam computed tomography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Background: The mesiodens, located in the palatal midline between the two maxillary central incisors, is the most common type of supernumerary tooth. The aim of this study was to evaluate the distribution of mesiodentes according to shape, position, and ...

Unsupervised Anomaly Detection of Paranasal Anomalies in the Maxillary Sinus [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Deep learning (DL) algorithms can be used to automate paranasal anomaly detection from Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). However, previous works relied on supervised learning techniques to distinguish between normal and abnormal samples. This method limits the type of anomalies that can be classified as the anomalies need to be present in the training ...

Esthetic improvement in the patient with one missing maxillary central incisor restored with porcelain laminate veneers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This article describes esthetic improvement in a patient with a missing maxillary left central incisor. Space analysis of the anterior dentition showed that minor tooth rearrangement was needed. Optimal space distribution for restorations was attained by

Supervised Contrastive Learning to Classify Paranasal Anomalies in the Maxillary Sinus [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Using deep learning techniques, anomalies in the paranasal sinus system can be detected automatically in MRI images and can be further analyzed and classified based on their volume, shape and other parameters like local contrast. However due to limited training data, traditional supervised learning methods often fail to generalize.

Comparison of Stress Distribution in a Maxillary Central Incisor Restored with Two Prefabricated Post Systems with and without Ferrule Using Finite Element Method [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2016
Introduction: When restoring an endodontically treated tooth with deficient coronal tooth structure, posts can be used to strengthen the tooth. Recently prefabricated posts are widely used as they exclude the need for complex laboratory procedures ...
