Endogenous Trigeminal Neurons Induce Schwann Differentiation of Donor Stem Cells in Dental Pulp Regeneration via Reciprocal Extracellular Vesicles Interplay

open access: yesExploration, EarlyView.
Our study demonstrates that the host TG coordinates with heterologously implanted SHED to regenerate functional dental pulp through reciprocal EVs’ interplay. EVs derived from implanted stem cells migrate to the host TG to activate axonal regeneration.

Craniofacial Resection for Advanced Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma: Results From the 2nd International Collaborative Case‐Series

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Robust outcome data for anterior skull base cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) are limited, particularly as emerging therapies reshape management. We evaluated survival and prognostic factors following craniofacial resection. Methods Retrospective multi‐institutional case‐series (1995–2015) of patients who underwent skull base

Cutaneous Leiomyosarcoma of the Head and Neck: Appreciation of a More Indolent Biological Behavior and Implications for Its Management

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Leiomysosarcoma (LMS) is generally associated with high metastatic potential and poor survival. Cutaneous LMS (cLMS) has been considered a different entity with more indolent biological behavior. Methods A narrative review was performed to assess the biological behavior of cLMS, with special attention for the head and neck location.
