Age‐related local versus systemic early phase wound healing dynamics following free gingival graft harvest

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Free palatal gingival grafts (FGG) are commonly harvested during mucogingival procedures. The present study investigates age‐related local and systemic early secondary wound healing outcomes, following FGG harvest in a rat model. Methods A 4.2 mm diameter defect was created in the palate of 24 younger (2 m) and 24 older (6 m) Wistar

Augmented Reality Integration Improves Ergonomics in Dynamic Navigation for Dental Implant Surgery

open access: yesJournal of the Society for Information Display, EarlyView.
This model‐based study demonstrates that integrating augmented reality (AR) to project X‐Guide navigation data directly onto the surgical field eliminates attention shifts between the patient and monitor, enhancing ergonomic efficiency. The AR system, which projects digital guidance directly into the surgeon’s line of sight, achieved high precision and

Effects of Mesenchymal Stem Cell‐Derived Exosomes on Lung Inflammation in a Murine Aspiration Model

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
This study assessed the effect of intravenous MSC‐derived exosomes on inflammatory lung injury in a rat model of LPS aspiration. Compared with LPS alone, MSC exosome treatment reduced histologic lung injury overall (significant group effect p = 0.02; linear trend p = 0.006) and significantly lowered Tnf gene expression on qRT‐PCR (p < 0.05).
