MAXIMAL PRYM VARIETY AND MAXIMAL MORPHISM [PDF]
We investigated maximal Prym varieties on finite fields by attaining their upper bounds on the number of rational points. This concept gave us a motivation for defining a generalized definition of maximal curves i.e. maximal morphisms. By MAGMA, we give

The number N of rational points on an algebraic curve of genus g over a finite field ${\mathbb F}_q$ satisfies the Hasse–Weil bound $N \leq q + 1 +2g\sqrt {q}$ .

Differentiating origins of outflow tract ventricular arrhythmias: a comparison of three different electrocardiographic algorithms [PDF]
Our objective is to evaluate the accuracy of three algorithms in differentiating the origins of outflow tract ventricular arrhythmias (OTVAs). This study involved 110 consecutive patients with OTVAs for whom a standard 12-lead surface electrocardiogram ...

On Maximally Inflected Hyperbolic Curves [PDF]
In this note we study the distribution of real inflection points among the ovals of a real non-singular hyperbolic curve of even degree. Using Hilbert's method we show that for any integers $d$ and $r$ such that $4\leq r \leq 2d^2-2d$, there is a non-singular hyperbolic curve of degree $2d$ in $\mathbb R^2$ with exactly $r$ line segments in the ...

Weierstrass semigroups on the Skabelund maximal curve [PDF]
In 2017, D. Skabelund constructed a maximal curve over $\mathbb{F}_{q^4}$ as a cyclic cover of the Suzuki curve. In this paper we explicitly determine the structure of the Weierstrass semigroup at any point $P$ of the Skabelund curve. We show that its Weierstrass points are precisely the $\mathbb{F}_{q^4}$-rational points.

Background Since the response to lung recruitment varies greatly among patients receiving mechanical ventilation, lung recruitability should be assessed before recruitment maneuvers. The pressure–volume curve (PV curve) and recruitment-to-inflation ratio

ObjectivesIt is commonly accepted that motor imagery (MI), i.e. the mental simulation of a movement, leads to an increased size of cortical motor evoked potentials (MEPs), although the magnitude of this effect differs between studies.
