General Conditions for Existence of Maximal Elements via the Uncovered Set [PDF]
This paper disentangles the topological assumptions of classical results (e.g., Walker (1977)) on existence of maximal elements from rationality conditions. It is known from the social choice literature that under the standard topological conditions-with

PARABOLIC FRACTIONAL MAXIMAL AND INTEGRAL OPERATORS WITH ROUGH KERNELS IN PARABOLIC GENERALIZED MORREY SPACES [PDF]
WOS: 000353524600023Let P be a real nxn matrix, whose all the eigenvalues have positive real part, A(t) = t(P), t > 0, gamma = trP is the homogeneous dimension on R-n and Omega is an A(t)-homogeneous of degree zero function, integrable to a power s > 1 ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

On almost coincidence points in generalized convex spaces
We prove an almost coincidence point theorem in generalized convex spaces. As an application, we derive a result on the existence of a maximal element and an almost coincidence point theorem in hyperconvex spaces.

Analytical studies of torque motor tape active element
The paper presents analytical studies of the torque motor tape active element. The tape active element is a novel type of a motor’s stator organization, where the conventional winding is replaced by a tape winding.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Existence of symmetric maximal noncrossing collections of k-element sets
We investigate the existence of maximal collections of mutually noncrossing k-element subsets of {1, ..., n} that are invariant under adding k (mod n) to all indices.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Ladder Arrangement Method for Stealth Design of Vivaldi Antenna Array
A novel stealth design method for X-band Vivaldi antenna arrays is proposed in this paper by ladder arrangement along radiation direction. Two-element array, eight-element array, and 3 × 7-element array are investigated in this paper. S parameters, RCSs,
