Maximality of sums of two maximal monotone operators [PDF]
We use methods from convex analysis, relying on an ingenious function of Simon Fitzpatrick, to prove maximality of the sum of two maximal monotone operators on reflexive Banach space under weak transversality conditions.

MXene dervied CoFe composites show increased initial Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) activity compared to the pure CoFe and MXene in an Anion Exchange Membrane device. Vanadium vacancies in the MXene plays a role in increased OER activity and hinders Fe leaching in the AEM device over using the pure V2C MXene as a support material for the CoFe ...

The purpose of this paper is to present the notion of weak relatively nonexpansive multi-valued mapping and to prove the strong convergence theorems of fixed point for weak relatively nonexpansive multivalued mappings in Banach spaces.

This paper refers to standard models in the theory of inelastic deformations. We assume that non-linear inelastic constitutive function is of monotone type, that the growth condition holds and that the model is quasistatic.

Plasmonic photocatalytic ammonia decomposition occurs at near‐room temperature on a plasmonic Au nanocone array under visible light illumination. The nanostructure efficiently harnesses plasmonic modes, leading to increased reaction rates upon plasmon decay.

An Inexact Proximal-Type Method for the Generalized Variational Inequality in Banach Spaces
We investigate an inexact proximal-type method, applied to the generalized variational inequality problem with maximal monotone operator in reflexive Banach spaces.

Understanding Decoherence of the Boron Vacancy Center in Hexagonal Boron Nitride
State‐of‐the‐art computations unravel the intricate decoherence dynamics of the boron vacancy center in hexagonal boron nitride across magnetic fields from 0 to 3 T. Five distinct regimes emerge, dominated by nuclear spin interactions, revealing optimal coherence times of 1–20 µs in the 180–350 mT range for isotopically pure samples.

Data Summarization Beyond Monotonicity: Non-monotone Two-Stage Submodular Maximization
The objective of a two-stage submodular maximization problem is to reduce the ground set using provided training functions that are submodular, with the aim of ensuring that optimizing new objective functions over the reduced ground set yields results comparable to those obtained over the original ground set.

Exploring the photocatalytic reverse water–gas shift (RWGS) reaction on doped SrTiO3 nanoparticle films, reveals that normalizing catalytic rates by the catalyst's specific surface area (SSA) disentangled surface area effects from the catalyst's intrinsic material properties.

We introduce a hybrid iterative scheme for finding a common element of the set of solutions for a system of mixed equilibrium problems, the set of common fixed point for nonexpansive semigroup, and the set of solutions of the quasi-variational inclusion ...
