Tumor and germline testing with next generation sequencing in epithelial ovarian cancer: a prospective paired comparison using an 18‐gene panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Genetic testing in epithelial ovarian cancer includes both germline and tumor‐testing. This approach often duplicates resources. The current prospective study assessed the feasibility of tumor‐first multigene testing by comparing tumor tissue with germline testing of peripheral blood using an 18‐gene NGS panel in 106 patients.

Effects of short term training using resistance maximal workloads in futsal players and cyclist

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Human Movement, 2010
The purpose of this study is to elucidate the effects of high intensity-strength training (S) in two consecutive days in different athletes. 20 subjects divided in two groups: 11 futsal players of semiprofessional level (FG) (22,5±1,4 yr) and 9 endurance

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Analogues of the Lockhart-Straus inequality and two- member asymptotics of series in systems of functions

open access: yesМатематичні Студії
For an entire transcendental function $f$ and a sequence $(\lambda_n)$ of positive numbers increasing to $+\infty$ let $A(z)=\sum_{n=1}^{\infty}a_nf(\lambda_n z)$ be a series in the system ${f(\lambda_nz)}$ regularly convergent in $\{z:|z|

Maximal exercise and plasma cytochrome P450 and lipoxygenase mediators: a lipidomics study

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, 2019
Epoxides derived from arachidonic acid (AA) are released during exercise and may contribute to vasodilation. However, exercise may also affect circulating levels of other epoxides derived from cytochromes P450 (CYP) monooxygenase and lipoxygenase (LOX ...

Screening for lung cancer: A systematic review of overdiagnosis and its implications

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low‐dose computed tomography (CT) screening for lung cancer may increase overdiagnosis compared to no screening, though the risk is likely low versus chest X‐ray. Our review of 8 trials (84 660 participants) shows added costs. Further research with strict adherence to modern nodule management strategies may help determine the extent to which ...

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

MAXIMIZING ENGLISH PROFICIENCY THROUGH SHORT-TERM INTENSIVE COURSES

open access: yesJurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Proficiency
This study investigates the effectiveness of a short-term intensive English course designed to improve English Proficiency Test (EPT) scores among postgraduate students at Universitas Islam Kadiri (UNISKA) Kediri. EPT at UNISKA mirrors the TOEFL structure and functions as a critical requirement for postgraduate academic standards.
