SEPARABLE TERM STRUCTURES AND THE MAXIMAL DEGREE PROBLEM [PDF]
This paper discusses separablc term structure diffusion models in an arbitrage‐free environment. Using general consistency results we exploit the interplay between the diffusion coefficients and the functions determining the forward curve. We introduce the particular class of polynomial term structure models.

Scaffolding feedback to maximize long-term error correction [PDF]
Scaffolded feedback was tested against three other feedback presentation methods (standard corrective feedback, minimal feedback, and answer-until-correct multiple-choice feedback) over both short- and long-term retention intervals in order to assess which method would produce the most robust gains in error correction.

Maximal Minors and Their Leading Terms
The authors study the Newton polyhedra of the polynomial given by the product of all maximal minors of a \(m \times n\) matrix of indeterminates \(X=(x_{ij})\). It is a polytope in \(\mathbb{R}^{mn}\). The description of this polytope is well known in the following cases: If \(m=n\) it is the Birkhoff polytope of doubly stochastic \(n \times n ...

Compromising Long-Term Sustainability for Short-Term Profit Maximization: Unethical Business Practice [PDF]
Abstract The current environmental challenges caused by the dependence on nonrenewable energy, increased waste disposal, the toxic emissions created by operational activities, and also the scarce supply of water are so complex and important that it requires immediate attention.

A Computation of the Maximal Order Type of the Term Ordering on Finite Multisets [PDF]
We give a sharpening of a recent result of Aschenbrenner and Pong about the maximal order type of the term ordering on the finite multisets over a wpo.

Bitlyan-Gol'dberg type inequality for entire functions and diagonal maximal term
In the article is obtained an analogue of Wiman-Bitlyan-Gol'dberg type inequality for entire $f\colon\mathbb{C}^p\to \mathbb{C}$ from the class $\mathcal{E}^{p}(\lambda)$ of functions represented by gap power series of the form $$ f(z)=\sum\limits_{k=0}^{

Quantifying the hip-ankle synergy in short-term maximal cycling [PDF]
Simulation studies have demonstrated that the hip and ankle joints form a task-specific synergy during the downstroke in maximal cycling to enable the power produced by the hip extensor muscles to be transferred to the crank. The existence of the hip-ankle synergy has not been investigated experimentally. Therefore, we sought to apply a modified vector

The Hadamard compositions of Dirichlet series absolutely converging in half-plane
For Dirichlet series with different finite abscissas of absolute convergence in terms of generalized orders the growth of the Hadamard composition of their derivatives is investigated.

Learning to Discriminate Through Long-Term Changes of Dynamical Synaptic Transmission [PDF]
Short-term synaptic plasticity is modulated by long-term synaptic changes. There is, however, no general agreement on the computational role of this interaction.
