Maximum of the modulus of kernels in Gauss-Turan quadratures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We study the kernels in the remainder terms of the Gauss-Turán quadrature formulae for analytic functions on elliptical contours with foci at , when the weight is a generalized Chebyshev weight function.

Experimental Characterization of Mycelium‐Based Composites Under Multiple Loading Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines the mechanical response of mycelium‐based composites under compression, shear, and tension using mechanical testing and imaging methods. The comparison between unpressed and hot‐pressed specimens shows that hot pressing is associated with higher compression and shear stiffnesses.

Uniform estimates for local properties of analytic functions in a complete Reinhardt domain

open access: yesМатематичні Студії
Using recent estimates of maximum modulus for partial derivatives of the analytic functions with bounded $\mathbf{L}$-index in joint variables we describe maximum modulus of these functions at the polydisc skeleton with given radii by the maximum modulus

Simulation analysis and nondestructive testing of flexural performance of wood single lap glued joints [PDF]

open access: yesBioResources, 2012
The effect of joint size on the loading capacity of wood single lap joints was studied with an orthogonal experimental design. The maximum load, modulus of elasticity, and modulus of rupture were the three mechanical indexes used to evaluate wood joint ...

Compatibility of Methacrylate Based Resins Controls Interfacial Failure and Toughness in 3D‐Printed Multimaterial Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work shows that the mechanical performance of multimaterial digital light processing (DLP) printed thermoset composites is governed by resin compatibility and interfacial design rather than spatial patterning alone. Brittle and ductile resin combinations produced premature interfacial failure, while graded interfaces and mechanically compatible ...

Comparison of Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Energy Absorbers Under Uniaxial Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates LCD 3D printed Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) structures as mechanical energy absorbers. By comparing various base designs and layered combinations under uniaxial compression, it identifies that a Diamond‐Gyroid sandwich structure offers superior performance.

Influence of annealing on indicatory surface of anelastic-elastic body of GeSi

open access: yesDiscover Applied Sciences
The temperature-dependent behavior of internal friction Q − 1 and elastic modulus Е of Ge0.95Si0.05 was investigated and represented through the plotting of 3D “indicatory surface of anelastic-elastic body”.

Experimental study and correction of dynamic characteristic parameters of silty clay under negative temperature conditions

open access: yesSoils and Foundations
In order to examine the principles governing the variation of dynamic characteristic parameters, including the damping ratio, dynamic modulus, and frozen soil backbone curve, under different negative temperature conditions, silty clays sourced from the ...

Experimental and Numerical Modal Analysis of Composite Sandwich Structures Using Surfboards as Model Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents an experimental and numerical modal investigation of composite sandwich structures using surfboards as model systems. By comparing different core materials and reinforcement strategies, the study demonstrates how local stiffeners influence vibrational response and introduce characteristic modal features, highlighting modal ...

Maximum likelihood separation of constant modulus signals

open access: yes, 2000
In this paper we derive a Newton scoring algorithm for the maximum likelihood separation and directionof -arrival estimation of constant modulus (CM) signals, using a sensors array. We present a rapidly converging scheme for the joint estimation of the
