This paper presents a digital microfluidics‐based technique for transferring and reconfiguring soft nanomembranes. Laser‐machined nanothin membranes are picked up, transported, and aligned via tailored surface tension and the actuation of water droplets, enabling the development of flexible electronics, the integration of functional materials on 3D ...

Maximum likelihood DOA estimation for constant-modulus signal
An investigation into the direction finding problem in the case of a constant-modulus signal is presented. A simple expression for the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) is derived in the single source case.

Dual‐Mode Magnetic Elastomer for On‐Demand Motion and Degradation
A dual‐mode magnetic elastomer is introduced, enabling DC field‐driven programmable actuation and AC field‐driven magnetothermal degradation. GHz‐range magnetic fields generate ultrafast heating of magnetic nanoparticles that activates cleavage of the silicone elastomer matrix.

NEW INEQUALITIES FOR MAXIMUM MODULUS VALUES OF POLYNOMIAL FUNCTIONS
In this paper we establish new inequalities for the maximum modulus values of polynomial functions which do not have zero as a root, and which have zero as a multiple root on two hyperbolic regions.

This work introduces a swelling‐induced, stress‐assisted water‐soluble PVA tape strategy to transfer‐print nanodiamond quantum‐sensor arrays onto soft, curved biological interfaces. The room‐temperature, water‐triggered process achieves >98% fidelity and residue‐free integration, enabling conformal quantum sensing on contact lenses, neural probes, and ...

A comparative study of two blind FIR equalizers
The paper investigates blind finite-impulse-response (FIR) equalization schemes for quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) signalling. We compare a bootstrap maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) equalizer with a recently introduced concurrent constant ...

3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...

An effective strategy is developed to overcome the medium temperatures wear resistance degradation in refractory multi‐principal element alloys. By utilizing chemical short‐range ordering to trigger oxygen‐induced amorphization, a composite oxide structure is formed, which combines high hardness with robust stiffness.
