Exceptional Elasto‐Dielectric Properties in a Highly Flexible Dielectric Elastomer Composite: The Key Roles of Parallel Elastic Nanofibers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Soft dielectric elastomer composites often face a trade‐off between enhanced dielectric properties and mechanical compliance. Here, a parallel‐aligned polyurethane nanofiber network embedded in PDMS creates a flexible, durable composite with increased permittivity, low modulus, and fatigue stability after 100,000 cycles.

Linking Polyelectrolyte Modification and Enzyme‐Catalyzed Phenolic Acid Functionalization of Cellulose Fiber for Functional Foams

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Cellulose fibers functionalized using cationic poly(Dimethyldiallylammonium chloride) (polyDADMAC) and laccase‐mediated ferulic acid system are processed into foams using different surfactants (Anionic, cationic, and non‐ionic). Fiber–surfactant interactions influence foam stabilization and porous structure formation during convective drying, producing

Spatial Stiffness Programming in Single‐Filament Material Extrusion Through Data‐Driven Thermal Foaming

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Single‐filament material extrusion enables spatial stiffness programming through locally controlled thermal foaming of TPU. A data‐driven G‐code framework tunes porosity from 15.7% to 40.7% and hardness from 90 to 63 Shore A within and across layers. Monolithic hands and soft actuators consequently achieve distinct programmed motions without material ...

Extrusion‐Based Bioprinting of Living Bioinks for Tissue and Organ Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Extrusion‐based bioprinting is presented as the most versatile route for fabricating living, heterogeneous tissues. Its ability to combine diverse bioinks, support matrices, and advanced printhead geometries transforms familiar constraints into powerful biofabrication opportunities.
