A maximum power point control photovoltaic system

18th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation, MED'10, 2010
A maximum power point tracking control (MPPT) is used for a photovoltaic (PV) system in order to maximize the output power irrespective of the temperature and irradiation conditions and of the load electrical characteristics. In this paper, we consider a photovoltaic panel supplying a battery. For maximizing its output power, we have used a boost DC/DC

Maximum power point tracking for photovoltaic systems

2013 IEEE Grenoble Conference, 2013
The novel principle of power maximizing of solar battery (MPPT) is proposed. The proposed system based on use of two low-power sample solar panels with the special controlled current source. These sample solar panels are located in close proximity to the main battery, and thus their electrical characteristics identical to those of the main one.

An Effective Hybrid Maximum Power Point Tracker of Photovoltaic Arrays for Complex Partial Shading Conditions

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2019
This paper proposes an improved maximum power point tracker (MPPT) for photovoltaic (PV) system. The scheme is a hybrid between the adaptive perturb and observe and particle swarm optimization (PSO). The algorithm incorporates the search-skip-judge (SSJ)

An Improved Maximum Power Point Tracking Method

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
A duty ratio perturbation based on improved genetic algorithm is proposed in this paper. It can overcome some shortcomings of traditional MPPT method, and can perfectly achieve a real-time adjustment for maximum power output. A simulation model is established on Matlab, feasibility and validity of the method is verified.

A new maximum power point tracking system

Proceedings of IEEE Power Electronics Specialist Conference - PESC '93, 2002
In power systems involving a load, a battery and a solar array, MPPT (maximum power point tracking) is a promising principle to extract the maximum amount of energy from the solar array and distribute it to the battery and loads. A digital hill-climbing control strategy combined with a bidirectional current mode power cell is presented that makes it ...

The Mechanical Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPTM)

2010
When Concentrating Photovoltaic (CPV) systems came onto the market a few years ago, their extremely high efficiency [1] and expected low costs of electricity have been seen as a major breakthrough to make photovoltaic (PV) energy less expensive. However, solutions had to be found to associate to the high performance of concentrating modules, precise ...
