Maximum power point tracking technique
Proceedings. Electrotechnical Conference Integrating Research, Industry and Education in Energy and Communication Engineering', 2003It is noted that to overcome the problem of mismatch between solar cells and a given load, maximum power-point tracking should be used. A simple efficient maximum power-point tracking technique is developed. The connection strategy depends on a very simple criterion which is the measurement of the solar radiation level. The control strategy is based on

Maximum power point matching versus maximum power point tracking for solar generators
Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, 2013Abstract In this paper, a method of designing an optimally arranged solar array for converterless matching to a known linear load is proposed and compared to the classical Maximum Power Point Tracking method. Long-time performance of both methods is examined for three common types of loads under real weather conditions.

Thermoelectric power generation with maximum power point tracking
8th International Conference on Advances in Power System Control, Operation and Management (APSCOM 2009), 2009With ever-increasing demand on energy conservation, there is fast growing interest in the development of clean energy technologies, like the thermoelectric power generation (TPG). Due to the special output characteristics of the thermoelectric power generator, the power conditioning circuit and its maximum power point tracking (MPPT) are needed.

Maximum power point tracking for photovoltaic systems
2013 IEEE Grenoble Conference, 2013The novel principle of power maximizing of solar battery (MPPT) is proposed. The proposed system based on use of two low-power sample solar panels with the special controlled current source. These sample solar panels are located in close proximity to the main battery, and thus their electrical characteristics identical to those of the main one.

An Improved Maximum Power Point Tracking Method
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013A duty ratio perturbation based on improved genetic algorithm is proposed in this paper. It can overcome some shortcomings of traditional MPPT method, and can perfectly achieve a real-time adjustment for maximum power output. A simulation model is established on Matlab, feasibility and validity of the method is verified.

History of Maximum Power Point Tracking
2019With time, the conventional fossil fuels for generating electric loads are depleted, so efforts are made to harness PV solar energy to serve the continuously increasing electric loads. The energy conversion efficiency of PV modules is very low, while they are expensive in price.

A new maximum power point tracking system
Proceedings of IEEE Power Electronics Specialist Conference - PESC '93, 2002In power systems involving a load, a battery and a solar array, MPPT (maximum power point tracking) is a promising principle to extract the maximum amount of energy from the solar array and distribute it to the battery and loads. A digital hill-climbing control strategy combined with a bidirectional current mode power cell is presented that makes it ...

Maximum Power Point Tracking Techniques
2016An essential objective for many photovoltaic (PV) applications is represented by the so‐called maximum power point tracking (MPPT). Under uniform irradiance and ambient temperature conditions, the power versus voltage characteristic of a PV array is characterized by the presence of a unique point, termed maximum power point (MPP), where the power ...

Integrated photovoltaic maximum power point tracking converter
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 1997A low-power low-cost highly efficient maximum power point tracker (MPPT) to be integrated into a photovoltaic (PV) panel is proposed. This can result in a 25% energy enhancement compared to a standard photovoltaic panel, while performing functions like battery voltage regulation and matching of the PV array with the load. Instead of using an externally

Maximum Power Point Tracking for Photovoltaic Systems
2018 International Conference On Advances in Communication and Computing Technology (ICACCT), 2018Photovoltaic system works with highest efficiency at an operating point of maximum power on power-voltage (P-V) and current-voltage (I-V) curve. But any mismatch in a photovoltaic array leads to differences in the I-V characteristics of the PV modules. It can lead to significant energy losses known as mismatch losses.
