Maximum power transfer by conductance comparison
1970 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 1970Most scientific satellites to date have utilized solar cells as the main power source for the spacecraft payload. Two basic methods have been utilized for operating a solar cell array at or near the maximum power point of its I-V characteristics. These two methods may be categorized as either an open loop system or a closed loop system.

Wireless Power Transfer: Types of Reflected Impedances and Maximum Power Transfer Theorem
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2020In this letter, different types of resonant reflected impedances (real, imaginary, and negative) and conditions for their existence are introduced using power flow paths. The condition necessary to achieve maxima of power delivery at a high (>0.5) system efficiency is derived while maintaining a power factor of 0.85 or above.

A maximum power transfer problem
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, 1983Given an n -port specified by V = E - jXI where X is real, symmetric, and positive-definite, it is shown that R_{L}=X is the unique real symmetric positive-definite load impedance which achieves maximum power transfer to the load R_{L} for all equivalent open-circuit voltages E .

Analytical expressions for maximum transferred power in wireless power transfer systems
2011 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2011In this paper, we present the analytical expressions of the resonant peaks of input impedance and the frequencies of maximum transferred power in the wireless power transfer systems in case of tight magnetic coupling. The analytical expressions predict the frequencies of power source where the maximum power is transferred in both cases of the constant ...

Determining the maximum power transfer condition for Ultrasonic Power Transfer system
2016 IEEE 2nd Annual Southern Power Electronics Conference (SPEC), 2016Ultrasonic Power Transfer technology is beneficial to transmit power through the metal conductor, and does not produce electromagnetic radiation. As the maximum power transfer condition is still unknown at present, we propose a method to accurately determine maximum power transfer condition.

A general maximum power transfer theorem
IEEE Transactions on Education, 1995The maximum power transfer theorem provides the condition which the load resistance or impedance must satisfy for maximum power absorption from the source network. This paper reviews the conventional maximum power transfer theorem and presents a modification to the theorem by incorporating a measure of the relative importance of power transmission ...

Thermoacoustic heat pumps with maximum power transfer
American Journal of Physics, 1995Ideal thermoacoustic heat pumps deliver a maximum heat flux if they operate at 1/3 of the Carnot efficiency COD Car=Tc/(Th−Tc). The best position for the stack is about λ/8 from the closed end.

Conditions for Maximum Power Transfer (Correspondence)
IRE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1961It is sometimes of interest to ask for the conditions of maximum power transfer from a fixed source into a load constrained to vary over an arbitrary contour in the impedance plane. There exists a simple graphical solution to this question as shown below. Consider the circuit shown in Fig. 1.

Maximum power transfer in parametric circuits
Radio and Electronic Engineer, 1972This paper establishes the conditions under which maximum power transfer in a parametric circuit with port immittances having positive real parts will be achieved with conjugate matching at input and output, and links these results with earlier work which showed, for modulator and mixer circuits, when source and load resistance might also be equal.
