On the Maximum Power Transfer Theorem
International Journal of Electrical Engineering & Education, 1978A reformulation of the maximum power transfer theorem, in terms of terminal conditions of the network corresponding to maximum power delivery, is given. Applications of this reformulation for a variety of terminations are discussed for the purely resistive and the sinusoidal steady-state cases.

On impedance matching and maximum power transfer
Electric Power Systems Research, 2010This paper investigates the relationship between the impedance matching and the maximum power transfer problems, and presents a predictor–corrector framework for fast estimation of the maximum power transfer limit for the load increase pattern with a common scaling factor.

Maximum power transfer between finite antennas
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1967The optimum illumination for maximum power transfer between two opposed rotationally symmetric antennas is determined. The antennas have spherical surfaces and dissimilar apertures. Given an angular variation of the illumination of \cos (\alpha \theta) , with \alpha integral, the optimum radial distribution becomes solutions of a finite Hankel ...

Maximum efficiency analysis in wireless power transfer
2018 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Antennas and Propagation (APCAP), 2018The optimal design of loosely coupled transformer is the key technique in the wireless power transfer (WPT) system. An improved reluctance model is proposed based on partitioning flux tube method, all parts of reluctance and coupling coefficient expressions are shown.

Conditions for the Maximum Power Transfer
IETE Journal of Education, 2013AbstractMaximum power transfer to a load in a circuit, where only one resistance is allowed to vary, is studied under three possible cases: Case (i) when load resistance is variable, Case (ii) when Thevenin resistance is variable and (iii) when both Thevenin voltage and Thevenin resistance are variable.

Maximum Power Transfer Theorem: A Simplified Approach
International Journal of Electrical Engineering & Education, 1998This brief note illustrates a simplified approach for deriving the maximum power transfer condition through simple algebraic manipulation. The approach allows students in introductory electrical and electronic engineering courses to be introduced to this important concept before they have acquired the background calculus necessary for traditional ...

Photovoltaic array reconfiguration for maximum power transfer
TENCON 2009 - 2009 IEEE Region 10 Conference, 2009In this paper, we developed a photovoltaic array reconfiguration algorithm to maximize the power that an array can provide a load. The algorithm reconfigures the array such that each element of the array is operated at its maximum power point. A switch topology was also designed to implement the algorithm using the minimum number of switches.

2015 IEEE 10th Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA), 2015
Inductive power transfer (IPT) has been developed as an alternative to traditional direct electrical contact power supplying methods to drive one or more moveable and electrically isolated loads. The Maximum power transfer and maximum power efficiency of an IPT system are two important factors to be considered for various applications.

Maximum Power Transfer Tracking for Ultralow-Power Electromagnetic Energy Harvesters
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2014This paper describes the design and operation of power conditioning system with maximum power transfer tracking (MPTT) for low-power electromagnetic energy harvesters. The system is fully autonomous, starts up from zero stored energy, and actively rectifies and boosts the harvester voltage. The power conditioning system is able to operate the harvester

Maximum solar power transfer in Multi-port Power Electronic Interface
2010 Twenty-Fifth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2010Ambient energy is a good supplement to existing hybrid power systems. Among the available options, solar is one of the most readily obtainable and technologically compatible sources. However, uncertainty of sun radiation intensity and changing atmospheric conditions impose challenges in efficient usage of sun power.
