From Waste to Value: Conversion of Calcium Sulfate to Vaterite via Carbon Capture and Storage
This study introduces a new concept for carbon management that relies on the carbonation of industrial gypsum waste and yields phase‐pure vaterite at ambient conditions without any additives. The obtained vaterite is further shown to be a reactive material that develops compressive strength in aqueous suspensions like conventional cements.

Database of Pb - free soldering materials, surface tension and density, experiment vs. Modeling
Experimental studies of surface tension and density by the maximum bubble pressure method and dilatometric technique were undertaken and the accumulated data for liquid pure components, binary, ternary and multicomponent alloys were used to create the ...

Interconnected Porous Hydrogels with Tunable Anisotropy Through Aqueous Emulsion Bioprinting
A 3D bioprintable microporous bioink is developed using an aqueous two‐phase system (ATPS) composed of extracellular matrix (ECM) mimetic biopolymers. The ATPS bioink enables the fabrication of interconnected porous architectures with up to 70% porosity, supporting long‐term cell viability and 3D cell alignment, enabling a simultaneous generation of ...

Correction Method for Initial Conditions of Underwater Explosion
In numerical simulations of underwater explosions, inaccuracies in the parameters of the Jones–Wilkins–Lee (JWL) equation of state often result in significant deviations between predicted shock wave pressure peaks or bubble pulsation periods and ...

Numerical Simulation of Cavitating Water Jet by a Compressible Mixture Flow Method
Concerned on the numerical simulation of high-speed water jet accompanied with intensive cavitation, a practical compressible mixture flow method is developed by coupling a simplified estimation of bubble cavitation and a flexible compressible flow ...

Observations of Cavitating Flow [PDF]
This paper will present a review of some of the recent advances in our understanding of the dynamics and acoustics of cavitating flows. We focus first on the individual events which evolve from a single travelling nucleus and describe observations of the

By tuning the pore size of mesoporous N‐doped carbon (MPNC) nanospheres as support material for molybdenum sulfide, the electrochemical activity of the composite material for the hydrogen evolution reaction can be optimized. An ideal MPNC pore size of 60 nm allows a high number of molybdenum sulfide active sites while maintaining efficient proton and ...

Viscoelasticity‐driven instabilities are harnessed to create tunable, periodic textures in 3D‐printed liquid crystalline polymers. This study illustrates how processing parameters control these spontaneous meso‐scale patterns. These unique structural architectures unlock new possibilities for functional devices, ranging from photonic components to ...
