Unified Study of Planar Field Theories [PDF]
A "Master" gauge theory is constructed in 2+1-dimensions through which various gauge invariant and gauge non-invariant theories can be studied. In particular, Maxwell-Chern-Simons, Maxwell-Proca and Maxwell-Chern-Simons -Proca models are considered here.

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

AbstractIn multibody systems, two alternative approaches exist to compute contact forces between bodies. The unilateral constraint contact and the unilateral regularized contact do not take into account the influence of the deformation due to other contacts on a body using rigid body dynamics. In this paper, a third alternative, i.e.

Sorting ultracold atoms in a three-dimensional optical lattice in a realization of Maxwell’s demon [PDF]
In 1872, Maxwell proposed his famous ‘demon’ thought experiment1. By discerning which particles in a gas are hot and which are cold, and then performing a series of reversible actions, Maxwell’s demon could rearrange the particles into a manifestly lower-

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Vacuum polarisation induced coupling between Maxwell and Kalb-Ramond Fields [PDF]
We present here a manifestly gauge invariant calculation of vacuum polarization to fermions in the presence of a constant Maxwell and a constant Kalb-Ramond field in four dimensions.

Information Gain and Loss for a Quantum Maxwell's Demon. [PDF]
We use continuous weak measurements of a driven superconducting qubit to experimentally study the information dynamics of a quantum Maxwell's demon. We show how information gained by a demon who can track single quantum trajectories of the qubit can be ...

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...
