Frame Indifferent Formulation of Maxwell's Elastic Fluid and the Rational Continuum Mechanics of the Electromagnetic Field

open access: yes, 2011
We show that the linearized equations of the incompressible elastic medium admit a `Maxwell form' in which the shear component of the stress vector plays the role of the electric field, and the vorticity plays the role of the magnetic field.

Evaluation of a novel EHR sidecar application to display RA clinical outcomes during clinic visits: results of a stepped‐wedge cluster randomized pragmatic trial

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective We developed a novel EHR sidecar application to visualize key rheumatoid arthritis (RA) outcomes, including disease activity, physical function, and pain, via a patient‐facing graphical interface designed for use during outpatient visits (“RA PRO dashboard”).

The Combined Magneto Hydrodynamic and Electric Field Effect on an Unsteady Maxwell Nanofluid Flow over a Stretching Surface under the Influence of Variable Heat and Thermal Radiation

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
The manuscript is a presentation of the combined effect of magnetic and electric field on unsteady flow of Maxwell nanofluid over a stretching surface with thermal radiations. The flow of Maxwell nanofluid is assumed to be in an unsteady state. The basic

Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Copper–Tungsten Composites for Heat Sink Applications in High‐Power Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article demonstrates the successful qualification of a copper–tungsten composite for laser powder bed fusion. The resulting components exhibited high density, high thermal conductivity, and reduced thermal expansion. Heat sinks with complex geometries were successfully manufactured, clearly showcasing the material's potential for additive ...

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...

On Maxwell Electrodynamics in Multi-Dimensional Spaces

open access: yesUniverse, 2021
The governing equations of Maxwell electrodynamics in multi-dimensional spaces are derived from the variational principle of least action, which is applied to the action function of the electromagnetic field.

Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Unconditional energy conservation and conditional regularity for the incompressible Navier-Stokes Maxwell system

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations
In this paper, we study a hydrodynamic system modeling the evolution of a plasma subject to a self-induced electromagnetic Lorentz force in incompressible viscous fluids. The system consists of the Navier–Stokes equations coupled with a Maxwell equation.

Pure electromagnetic-gravitational interaction in Hořava–Lifshitz theory at the kinetic conformal point

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
We introduce the electromagnetic-gravitational coupling in the Hořava–Lifshitz framework, in $$3+1$$ 3+1 dimensions, by considering the Hořava–Lifshitz gravity theory in $$4+1$$ 4+1 dimensions at the kinetic conformal point and then performing a Kaluza ...
