Members of the MAZ Family: A Novel cDNA Clone for MAZ from Human Pancreatic Islet Cells
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1996A human recombinant cDNA clone that encoded a zinc-finger protein (Myc-associated zinc-finger protein of human islet; MAZi) was cloned by screening a cDNA library prepared from human pancreatic islet cells. The encoded protein showed a high degree of homology to the Myc-associated zinc-finger protein MAZ (ZF87 or Pur-1).

The p53 protein is a cell cycle regulator. When the cell cycle progresses, p53 plays an important role in putting a brake on the G1 phase to prevent unwanted errors during cell division. Akt is a downstream kinase of receptor tyrosine kinase.

Maz Confusion? Reflections on A Framework for Reform
HealthcarePapers, 2002While the recent Mazankowski Report offers many wise suggestions for how the health system might be strengthened and the health of the population improved, some of the other ideas it presents are not so meritorious. These are most notable in the recommendations related to finance, where the Premier's Advisory Council has relied more on rhetoric than on

MAZ Is a Substrate for the Deubiquitinating Enzyme DUB1
Blood, 2010Abstract Abstract 3913 Ubiquitination is a fundamental mechanism of signal transduction that regulates immune responses and many other biological processes. Similar to phosphorylation, ubiquitination is a reversible process that is counter-regulated by ubiquitinating enzymes and deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs).

MAZ Depth-Velocity Modelling and Imaging with Azimuthal Anisotropy
PGCE 2010, 2010Processing of multi and wide-azimuth seismic data faces some new challenges, and one of them is depth-velocity modelling and imaging with azimuthal velocity anisotropy. Analysis of multi-azimuth data very often reveals noticeable fluctuations in moveout between different acquisition directions.

LIMAZI “Llamado Interno a MAZ Inclusión”

The MAZ protein is an autoantigen of Hodgkin's disease and paraneoplastic cerebellar dysfunction
Annals of Neurology, 2002AbstractProbing a cerebellar expression library with TrAb sera from patients with Hodgkin's disease and paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration resulted in the isolation of MAZ (myc‐associated zinc‐finger protein). Eleven of 19 TrAb sera and 16 of 131 controls reacted with MAZ, indicating a significant, although not specific, association between Tr and ...

MAZ regulates ferroptosis, apoptosis and differentiation of oligodendrocyte precursor cells
Oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs) respond rapidly to demyelination injury. However, the rescuing effects may be hindered by cell death of OPCs, leading to incomplete remyelination. This study aimed to explore the expression of MYC-associated zinc finger protein (MAZ) in demyelinated mice and the effects of MAZ on cell death form and ...
